Vote in Singapore property awards

Singapore’s first People’s Choice Awards, hosted by, is about to close voting to the public.

Many awards programmes claim to recognise industry leadership, savvy, and outstanding achievements, but just who votes for the winners? In this case, the consumer has the voting power and the vote has the potential to affect the landscape of the property development industry in Singapore.

“We are very proud to host the People’s Choice Awards, which is the first of its kind in Singapore. It will let us gauge consumer sentiment as the public votes for their choice of newly-launched properties across the 10 categories, and give developers insights into consumer preferences. The voting results will also provide us with insights to the property sector from a consumers’ point of view,” said Sean Tan, General Manager of Singapore.

While iProperty might not have invented the idea of awarding industry leaders, they are nevertheless quite creative in categorising their awards:

  • Staycation Award
  • Take My Breath Away Award
  • Swinging Single Party Pad Award
  • Object of Desire Award
  • Property I Would Even Bet My Granny’s Savings Award
  • Supersize Me Award
  • Saving Gaia Award
  • Foodie Paradise Award
  • Life’s a Beach Award
  • City Slickers Award

If the power and responsibility of the vote isn’t enticing enough, iProperty is offering voters a chance to win some amazing prizes for the home, including a SG$20,000 living-room makeover.

Other awards include vouchers worth SG$2,500 from Philips Lighting Singapore or Accentuate Home, or SG$3,000 vouchers from the Cook, Bake, Host store, ToTT. Singapore is the official partner of the Singapore Institute of Estate Agents (IEA), and MSN’s exclusive property partner, powering their real estate channel.
